Quinobequin Quilters 2006 Summer Challenge

"A crash of rhinoceroses * a school of fish * a litter of pups * a flock of sheep * a string of ponies * a pride of lions * a herd of elephants * a plague of locusts * a colony of ants * a covey of quail * a kindle of kittens * a leap of leopards * a pod of seals * a rafter of turkeys * a drove of cattle * a dule of doves * a gam of whales" .... ...and the list goes on (from An Exhaltation of Larks by James Lipton, Penguin Press, 1968). The 2006 Challenge was to create a quilt containing a "multitude" of an animal (3 or more) with at least 1 non-fabric item included in its top. The quilt should be no smaller than a 12" square and no larger than a 36" square. How about a Stitch of Quilts? Here are this year's fourteen entries with beads, baubles, buttons, and even eyelashes!
