About Quinobequin Quilters

Since 1983, the members of Quinobequin Quilters have gathered to discuss, construct, admire, and learn about quilts, quilting, and all manner of techniques used in their creation.

The Guild meets monthly, September through May, for programs that inspire fabric lovers and fiber artists of all skill levels.  We share an appreciation for traditional to contemporary designs and construction methods.

Meetings feature guest speakers from across New England and further afield, activities that support our efforts to provide community service, an extensive lending library, and the chance to learn from one another and share the results of our efforts. Our meetings are open to anyone who shares our love of quilting or who simply wants to learn more about it.

The Guild serves the wider community by assembling baby, lap, and bed-sized Comfort Quilts.  Completed Comfort Quilts are donated to charitable organizations and agencies to distribute to people in need.  Additionally, a major portion of the proceeds from our biennial auction benefits the New England Quilt Museum in Lowell, Mass.

Dedicated to providing varied opportunities to explore the art and craft of quilt making, the Guild sponsors Summer Challenges, Blocks-of-the-Month, Quilt Museum trips, and Weekend Getaways each year. According to members' interests, the Guild may also offer Mystery Quilts or Round Robins. The Guild's biennial Quilt Show allows members a public forum to display their talents and provides visitors with an exciting array of over 100 quilts to enjoy.
