2019 - 2020 Programs
The Guild meets at the Congregational Church of Needham (directions available here). You are invited to arrive at 7:00 pm for socializing and perusing the Guild Library collection. Meetings begin promptly at 7:30 pm. Please note the following dates (all 2nd Tuesdays except October which is a 4th Tuesday) on your calendar:
September 10, 2019 – Welcome Back Fall Social
Featuring our Summer Challenge Quilts and Show & Tell of our summer work. For our first meeting of the year, we also invite members to bring guests for free to introduce new quilters to QQ.
October 22, 2019 (4th Tuesday!) – Dave Sirota presents "What Makes a Quilter Tick? A Fun-Filled Look in the Mirror"
Join Dave for a laugh-out-loud and interactive look at ourselves as quilters, examining the little quirks, passions, idiosyncrasies and obsessions we all share.
November 12, 2019 – Sheri Cifaldi–Morrill presents "Aurifilosophy" (and trunk show)
Sheri, a certified Aurifilosopher, shows her award-winning quilts in a program from the thread makers of Aurifil designed to unlock the mystery of thread, educate the masses, and help all users achieve brilliant results!
December 10, 2019 – Holiday Party
Show & Tell highlights our seasonal get-together filled with food, fun, and laughter.
January 14, 2020 – Liz Gray presents "Lizbiz: A Gemini's Journey"
Liz will share her journey in becoming a professional quilter and quilt appraiser.
February 11, 2020 – Comfort Quilts
Join our annual Comfort Quilt marathon when we all work together to assemble quilts for children and families in need.
March 10, 2020 – Kathy Graves presents "Modern Quilting"
Kathy will explore Modern Quilting concepts such as color, negative space, minimalism, alternative grid, asymmetry (and more).
