2026 - 2027 Programs

 

The Guild meets at the Congregational Church of Needham, 1154 Great Plain Ave, (directions available here), except for January and February of 2027 when we will meet online via Zoom (link emailed to members). You are invited to arrive at 7:00 pm for socializing. Meetings begin promptly at 7:30 pm with the business portion (announcements, door prize, show and share) followed by the program from 8:00pm- 9:00pm.

September 8, 2026 – Welcome Back Social, Summer Challenge, Show & Share

Welcome new members, reconnect with old friends, view the Summer Challenge entries and see what wonderful creations people have made this summer! 

 

October 13, 2026 – Laura Rosenspan presents "Places Real and Imagined"

Laura will share her inspiration for each landscape quilt, the story behind each scene, and methods and techniques used.

November 10, 2026 – Comfort Quilts Quilting Bee

Join us for a fun evening as we work together on our service project making quilts for Project Linus, hosted by Jerri-Lynn and Carol.

​

November 20-23, 2026 – Cape Cod Weekend Retreat at at Holiday Inn, Hyannis

Registration and fee are required.

December 8, 2026 – Holiday Social

Join us for some fun festive activities and refreshments!

January 12, 2027 – Tina Craig presents "The Joy of Group Projects" via Zoom

Tina will touch on promoting guild cohesion through individual projects done as a group.  

​

January 23, 2027 – Saturday Local Winter Retreat

9am - 3:30pm at Temple Beth Shalom. Registration and fee are required.

February 9, 2027 – Lee Sproull presents "Two Questions; Many Answers” via Zoom

Lee will talk about her multiple answers to “Where do you get your ideas?” and “How do you make it?”​

​

February 28, 2027 3-6PM – Sunday Afternoon Workshop with Karen Salemi via Zoom

Karen will provide a 3 hour Zoom workshop "All About Houses" on easy improv techniques to design unique houses, with options to incorporate left over blocks from past projects. Registration and fee ($20-50 depending on number of participants) are required.

March 9, 2027 – Ann Brauer presents "Evolution as a Quilter"/Trunk Show

This program will be starting at 7:30pm.

Ann will show her contemporary abstract landscapes and art quilts.

​April 13, 2027 – Rita Partridge presents "Scrap Happy Quilting"

Rita will share her methods for saving scraps in a useful way, her scrap quilts, and outline the methods for each one.

​

May 11, 2027 – End of Year Ice Cream Social

​Our last meeting before summer break. Bring your recently completed quilts to share. The Summer Challenge project will be presented, and we will have our Annual Meeting and vote on the new slate of Officers.​​​​
