2021 - 2022 UFO/NSY/Stash-Buster Challenge

• Do you have some unfinished projects (UFOs) that are waiting for you?

• Or did you find your way to a quilt shop or two and enhanced your stash with fabric for a new project you would like to work on, a Not Yet Started (NYS)?

• Or perhaps you have been shopping on-line and you realize your stash needs some taming and you could use some projects to whittle it down (Stash-Busters).

If any of these categories have your name on it, or you would just like to see what projects others plan to work on, please join us!

 

Last year’s format worked so well that we will continue using the same format and “incentives”.

During each meeting our goal is for everyone to get a chance to speak, share, and participate. Bring either an UFO or a NYS to the meeting. If it is an UFO, we would like to see what stage you are at and what you hope to accomplish before our next meeting. This is your chance to ask for suggestions! If it is a NYS, please show us the fabrics you hope to use and tell us what you are thinking. If possible, try to estimate how much you hope to accomplish in the coming month.

 

For each completed UFO that you show the group your name (one ticket) will be entered into a UFO bucket. For each completed NYS you will get at least one ticket, perhaps more depending on how complicated the project is. Then, for any project in which 25% or more of the project is built from your stash you get one ticket put into the Stash-buster bucket. If your entire quilt top is from your stash you get 2 tickets!  In May we will have a drawing from each of the 3 buckets (UFO, NYS, Stash-buster) for 3 separate prizes.  Lasts year’s “winners” were very pleased with their little prizes, but even more by what they had accomplished!

 

Most of all we want this to be FUN and a great way to get to know other QQ members better, finish some projects, and use some of your stash!

 

UFO Zoom meetings will be on third Tuesday evening of the month, from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m.  Carol or Janet will host the meeting and send out the link a few days prior to the meeting.  Please contact them at UFO@Quinobequin.org with any questions and join the UFO meetings at any time during the year!
